Thule Roof Rack Review - 2012 Volkswagen Touareg

Today on our 2012 Volkswagen Touareg we are going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Aeroblade Roof Rack System and the foot kit, right here. This would be part number THARB53 and TH450R. As you can see up on our vehicle we already have our front one in place, we are going to show you how to put the second one in place and how it looks once its all complete on top the vehicle. First thing we are going to do, is rotate the end of the Aeroblade, press down on the tab located here and lift up, that will remove the end cap and give us the ability to slide on the T-track system here. Slide the T-track into the grooves, to where its allowed to fall down like so. You want the Thule reading outwards, with the locking mechanism as well. That way your strap is undone and you are ready to rock and roll as far as putting it on.

Once we have established this position, we can remove the end caps of the feet and bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of the crossbar and hook them into position. We will then want to make sure that, the overhang of the Aero Blade is equal on both sides of the feet. After doing so, we can use the included tensioning tool to tighten down the feet to secure the crossbar to the vehicles raised side rails.
