Length of Warranty on the Camco RV Heated Drinking Water Hose # CAM22903
Updated 11/08/2014 | Published 11/07/2014 >
Question:
I have gotten several brands of heated hoses in the past, well over a thousand dollars worth - PIRIT company is a total joke, and a hoax.. after spending all that money- they either froze up , or never worked, I got two replacements, and they did not work either, at which point the Pirit company would not answer my calls... how long is the warranty on these hoses? and if they do fail, what is done to rectify the problem? I like the design of your hose, but at the prices, I am not going to take any chances on my next purchase, any information you can provide is appreciated!

I spoke to my contact at Camco and he informed me that the warranty for the Camco RV Heated Drinking Water Hose # CAM22903 is 36 months from the date of purchase.
Also, my contact wanted me to mention that this product has a self regulating heat cable that has a special conductive core between the two bus wires. This core becomes more conductive during cold ambient conditions; therefore the heating cable will increase its wattage per lineal foot, in response to the cold. This feature makes it ideal for the freeze protection of exposed pipes in the winter. This type of cable will also decrease its power output (watts per lineal ft.), in warmer conditions, when the higher temperature will make the special core less conductive. Although it’s called "self-regulating," this cable heater will NOT turn itself completely on or off.
