Question:
I have a Dexter electric brake assembly part # 023-327-00 that needs to be replaced. Can I use the etrailer part # 23-106 as a a correct replacement? Will the existing drum I have work with the 23-106 part #?

Expert Reply:
Selecting a replacement electric drum brake assembly requires you to match a few characteristics of your existing assembly.
The Dexter brake you referenced, part # 23-106, is a 12 x 2-inch right-hand (passenger side) electric brake with a 5-bolt mounting flange and an axle weight rating of up to 6000-lbs. Since your drums are 12 x 2-inch size these should fit fine.
