Question:
Hello, I am planning on ordering these rear hangers for my single-axle trailer. I understand how they should be mounted/welded to the frame. I will be using shackle straps TRSL225 and shackle bolts 166081 for my setup. Is it okay for the dry non-greased/bearingless shackle bolt #166081 to be installed through the hole in this rear hanger? That would leave a metal-on-metal setup and just not sure if Im approaching this correctly... Thank you

Expert Reply:
You can certainly use the 30-20 spring hanger with the # 166081 bolts, or you can use the wet bolts like part # 126B2. The bolt features a grease zerk that would allow you to grease the inside of the bushing. Using the wet bolt would probably make the suspension a bit quieter as well as helping the component to last longer.
