Features to know about

Solid Suspension Mounts for Better Stability: 1-1/2" Front and 7/8" Rear Hangers Keep Springs Aligned

A steady ride starts with secure mounting points. This hanger set gives your single-axle suspension the proper support with two 1-1/2" tall front hangers and two 7/8" tall rear hangers. The matched sizes position the springs just right, keeping the suspension geometry true so the trailer tracks straight and tows smooth mile after mile.

Built for Heavy Use: Works with 2,000-lb to 7,000-lb Single Axles

When you’re carrying weight, you need hardware that can take it. These hangers are designed for single-axle setups rated from 2,000 lbs up to 7,000 lbs. That wide range makes them tough enough for serious loads while still fitting standard trailer frames. The steel rear hangers come with bushings installed, ready to handle the stress of everyday use.

Consistent Frame-to-Axle Clearance: Achieves 4-1/4" or 4-1/2" Spacing

Proper clearance keeps your suspension working the way it should. Depending on your axle size, this setup delivers 4-1/4" or 4-1/2" between the trailer frame and the axle. That helps prevent bottoming out and gives your springs the room they need to flex and absorb bumps, so your trailer rides smoother over rough stretches.

Straightforward Setup for Reliable Alignment: Mounting Points for Double-Eye Springs

Getting the geometry right is simple with this hanger combination. Each piece is made for double-eye leaf springs and attaches directly to the trailer frame. The layout keeps spacing consistent, whether you’re building new suspension or replacing worn-out mounts. Just verify your measurements before welding, and you’ll have a solid, correctly aligned suspension foundation.

Video Transcript for Single-Axle Trailer Hangers for Double-Eye Springs Spec Review

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Dexter single axle trailer hangers for the 1-3/4 inch wide double eye springs on 2,000 pound to 7,000 pound axles. Now, this hanger set here will include the front hangers and the rear hangers, and it's for mounting your lease springs to the 2,000 pound to 7,000 pound single axle trailer frame. It includes the two 1-1/2 inch tall front hangers. Now when we talk about the height on the hanger, it's not the overall height from the bottom to the top. The height of a hanger will always be measured from the center of the bolt hole to the top.

So on this one, if we do center to the top, you can see there it's 1-1/2 inch measurement and these are the two front hangers. The rear ones are 7/8 of an inch tall and it's the same way center of the bolt hole to the top. So if you put that on it, it's just 7/8 of an inch tall rear hangers. And if you notice, it does have the steel bushings in it. Now, the shackle straps, the bolts, and the components for mounting the axle to the springs are all sold separately.

This kit here will attach two 1-3/4 inch wide leaf springs to your trailer frame. What I do recommend is if you go to this product page, use the table that's listed on the product page to determine the hanger location based on the type of leaf springs you're using. And when you do install this with the leaf springs, it will achieve 4-1/4 inch or 4-1/2 inch clearance between the trailer frame and the axle depending on the axle size that you use. But that should do it for the review on the Dexter single axle trailer hangers for the 1-3/4 inch wide double eye springs on the 2,000 pound to 7,000 pound axles.

The bushing in the rear hanger is a little small. Should have been made from a piece DOM steel stock instead of a rolled form piece of sheet steel that isn't even welded at the seam.

Perfect for my 3.5k Lippert axel on my canoe trailer build.

  • Do You Have a 2" Wide 4 Leaf Spring for a 2,990lbs Axle on My Trailerman Single Axle Trailer?
Hello Brett, I am sorry to hear that you are having a difficult time finding this leaf spring. We do not have anything that is rated that low in a 2" wide. In fact we only have 2 different leaf springs in 2" wide and neither are even a double eye. Your best bet is going to be to swap out your hangers to a 1 3/4" like the Single-Axle Trailer Hangers for Double-Eye Springs - 1-1/2" Front, 7/8" Rear # DX44CR, then you would be able to use the # DX83CR. I know that you mentioned that yours...
