Maximum Tire Pressure for Lionshead Bengal 17.5 Inch Trailer Wheel

Updated 10/27/2026 | Published 10/23/2026

Question:

I'm looking at the Lionshead Bengal 17.5" aluminum wheels for my fifth wheel. The tires I'm considering require 125 PSI, and I want to make sure I won't have to replace the valve stems. What is the maximum PSI these wheels can handle?

Hey David! The Lionshead Bengal Aluminum Trailer Wheel # LH322FR comes with their metal valve stem rated for up to 150 PSI, so you can use those 125 PSI tires without replacing the valve stems.

The wheel has a 4,850 lb capacity, measures 17-1/2" x 6-3/4", and uses an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern. We have just the wheel, or a wheel and tire combo if you want to save yourself the hassle of mounting them later. You can choose from the following:

-Lionshead Bengal Aluminum Trailer Wheel # LH322FR

-Uniroyal RS2 Tire with Bengal Aluminum Wheel - 215/75R17.5 - Load Range H # UR925ZR

What kind of fifth wheel are you working on?

Thanks! These are going on our Grand Design Momentum. I currently have steel wheels. Will I be able to reuse my existing lug nuts with the Bengal wheels?

@David you'll need lug nuts with the correct 60º cone seat for the Bengal wheels. These use 9/16"-18 wheel studs, so your existing lug nuts will work if they have the same thread size and seat style. If you're unsure, send me a picture of your current lug nuts and I'll help you verify them.
