Which Bearing Kit and Grease Seal Fits a Dexter 6,000-lb E-Z Lube Axle?

Updated 10/19/2026 | Published 10/18/2026

Question:

I am looking for a wheel bearing kit with the seal for a Dexter 6k axle. I have the ez lube axles with the D ring. Can you please point me in the right direction? I have a sticker on the axle 2401891 if that helps? Thank you for your time and help.

Hey Jarrod!

For your Dexter 6K E-Z Lube axle, you'll want one of these two bearing kits, depending on which grease seal your setup uses:

# BK3-100 – Includes inner bearing 25580, outer bearing 15123, races, and a grease seal with a 2.250" inner diameter.

# BK3-110 – Includes the same bearings and races but has a grease seal with a 2.125" inner diameter.

You can check the numbers stamped on your existing grease seal or use a digital caliper to measure the diameter of the spindle where the seal rides.

Another option would be to order the more common # BK3-100 kit along with an extra 2.125" grease seal # GS-2125DL. That way, you'll have both seal sizes available when you take everything apart, without having to spend much extra money or order a second bearing kit. Less time wasted overall!

What kind of trailer is this on?

Thank you for the reply, Neither one of those look like the correct ones. I called Dexter direct and through trial and error found the correct kit. see below. BKS3-205 I was unable to locate this on your site so I had to order elsewhere. Thank you for your time and help.

@JarrodS Hey Jarrod! Thanks for following up, and sorry I pointed you toward the wrong kits. After looking into the Dexter BKS3-205, it turns out your 6K axle uses the larger 14125A outer bearing, which is also commonly used on 7K axles. We actually carry the same bearing and seal combination in our # BK3-200 kit, although it doesn't include all the additional hardware. Glad Dexter was able to get you squared away, and I appreciate you sharing that information!
