Is There A Plug And Play Harness For Brake Controller On 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe ?

Updated 10/12/2026 | Published 10/09/2026

Question:

Wanted to know if you sell a plug and play wire harness for a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe XRT to a Redarc Tow Pro Liberty brake controller. I saw a video for one on your site but it was for a 2023 Santa fe.

Hey Angela,

There's a way to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness - Dash Knob - Proportional # RED52VR in your 2025 Hyundai Sante Fe, but it requires hard wiring into the vehicle as there's not custom fit plug and play setups for this vehicle. It's really not too bad of an install; one wire taps into your brake pedal signal wire and the others run to the battery and back to the 7 way connector.

If you don't want to tamper with wiring at all, luckily there is a wireless brake controller from Curt, which is the Echo # C51180. This is a really good option as far as easy plug-and-play goes, and it gets the job done for basic trailer towing.

Do you already 7 way connector or 4 way flat connector on your back bumper by the hitch receiver? If not, you'll want # C98RV which is the 4 way flat for basic trailer light functions, but then you'll convert it to 7 way for the trailer brakes with # ETBC7 kit.

What are you planning to tow with the Santa Fe?

I can do the hard wiring, I was just hoping to save time. I have a 7 pin plug at back but it was installed at dealer. I can't simply unplug it because I have the two screws on side; it doesn't have a clip connection. I don't know about the Curt one, I've read some reviews and I don't think it will last that long. I will probably go with the Redarc Liberty. I plan on towing an enclosed trailer with dual axles. Thanks for your reply.

@AngelaW Ok that makes sense. Luckily you won't need to remove the 7 way to install the brake controller of your choice. You can just tap into the brake controller output wire (normally blue) behind the 7 way behind your bumper and do it that way. :) Let me know if you need any other help!
