Looking for Replacement Hub for 2009 Cedar Creek Silverback
Published 10/05/2026 >
Question:
Hello etrailer, I have a 2009 34foot Cedar Creek Silverback GII Fifth Wheel Travel Trailer. It was my parents rig who have aged out of RV Life. I have been doing some research and I understand this particular model was equipped with the Lippert Sealed Bearing System. I also understand this system has been discontinued. The drums and bearings have not shown evidence of bearing failure as of yet, but I understand when they do I will be forced back into the conventional drum and bearing assembly. I would like to purchase the correct fit assembly for this axel and 6 bolt lug pattern. I have included the axel tag and believe part AKHD-655-6-K is the correct fit but I would like the experts to decide. Once I have the correct part number I will keep the new hub assembly as a spare if and when this SBS system begins to fail. Any info would be great, Thanks!

Hey Mike, you are correct when (if) you have to replace your hub/drums you will want the part # AKHD-655-6-K as this is correct capacity, bearing setup, and wheel bolt pattern. Your current hubs should hold up really well though so I wouldn't anticipate having any issues but it's always good to have a spare on hand.
