Replacement Bauer Door Handle For A Horse Trailer

Question:
I am looking for a replacement door handle for my horse trailer. The lock that is currently on the trailer is a Bauer AE021. Is the Bauer Products Door Lock for Horse and Utility Trailers - Matte Black - Glass Filled Nylon Part Number: BA63FR compatible to the AE021? Thank you.

The AE021 you found is actually the key number, not the part number for the actual door handle. That said, the Bauer Products Door Lock for Horse and Utility Trailers - Matte Black - Glass Filled Nylon # BA63FR you were looking at is likely what you are looking for (it's a pretty typical size for horse trailers).
This door handle measures 3-11/16" wide x 4-1/2" tall, required a cutout dimensions of 2-3/4" wide x 3-3/4" tall, and fits doors that are 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" thick. If this all looks to match what you currently have, you are good to go! If it doesn't match, just let me know your measurements and I can find a better part for you (we have a lot of Bauer door handles).
If you are wanting it to match your AE021 key number, I can't guarantee that. There is a chance it will be the same, but Bauer uses quite a few different numbers and you will likely not get the same one. Unfortunately, Bauer doesn't offer a way to match pre-existing key numbers.
Where do you typically take your horses? I grew up in Southern California riding mountain bikes and ran across people on horseback pretty often in the mountains.

Thanks for getting back with me. I just used that AE021 # that was on the lock as identification. Looks like Part Number: BA63FR has two keys that come with it, so I'd be good to go. I live in Central Texas so I barrel race all over.
