Looking for Replacement Coupler for Gooseneck Horse Trailer with 4 inch Diameter Outer Tube

Question:
Hello! I’m looking for a new coupler for my gooseneck horse trailer, but can’t decide which one to get. The trailer has a GVWR of 11,000lbs, but I’m not sure what the tongue weight is. The current gooseneck coupler has a 4” diameter. Would you guys have a coupler you’d recommend? I can send over a few pictures as well. Thanks!

Hey Ashley, welcome back! Based on what you mentioned the B and W Defender part # BWGNC4250 would work as it's a round coupler designed for a 4 inch diameter outer tube and has more than enough weight capacity as it is rated for 25,000 lbs. But if you want to email me pictures of what you have I can see if there's a better option.

I have loved the coupler. I like that it has a lock. I feel safer hauling my 2 horse/living quarters gooseneck trailer. It is so easy to hook up and the hitch pin engages automatically once it comes down on the ball. I am sure the lock would prevent many potential trailer thieves from attempting to hook up. Having it locked while traveling or parked in a lot makes me feel more secure. I am sure it would work well for you. It is well made. It is a two person job to put on. Pay attention to your measurements. It fit my Mister right out of the box.

Great product haul 12000 LQ horses trailer. Hooks up smooth and has an integrated lock. Support is excellent.
