Hi MIke! The 5-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e34SR can replace a 4-leaf as long as they are the same length. However, if you have a 3,500 lb axle this is pretty overrated since it is designed for 6k axles.

If you want to match your axle capacity you can use the Terran Industries # TX58RJ which won't change the leaf count. If you want a higher rating, I wouldn't really go above 4,400 lbs like the Dexter # DX95CR. All of the leaf springs are going to be coming from China.

Assuming that is a standard 3,500 lb axle with a 2-3/8" diameter, you can use the U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 3,500-lb, Round Trailer Axles # APUBR-1.

What do you typically haul in your utility trailer?

I upgraded our leaf springs to the 5 leaf . The reason I replaced the 4 leaf , we went to a 15 inch rim and tire combo . With 10 ply tires , we boondock allot and wanted the reassurance of not blowing tires on rough terrain. The extra clearance was great . They fit like a dream and we are very happy with them .

@Johnny thanks for sharing your experience! Glad to hear the 5-leaf springs worked out well and gave you the extra clearance you were looking for.
