@JonC Hi Jon, for two e-bikes, I personally love the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Bikes, part # TH903202, especially if ease of use is your biggest priority. It has a 65 lb capacity per bike, so your 40 lb bikes are well within its limits, and the included loading ramp is a huge plus since you can roll the bikes up onto the platform instead of lifting them into place. It also folds up like a suitcase when you are not using it, which makes storing and handling the rack much easier. The platform design keeps things simple, with wheel trays and straps to secure the wheels along with padded frame clamps to hold the bikes in place.
