Question:
im wanting to upgrade to 16in wheels on my 5th wheel camper. the current 15in rims have a center bore of a little more than 4in. the wheels im interested in are 3.75in. could you tell me if that will still work? i think its a 5200lb axle. it has a 6x5.5 bolt pattern

Hey Kelly, thanks for reaching out. No, the 3.75" center bore will not work for your setup. Your existing 15" wheels have a 4.27" center bore, and you need to match that size when moving to a 16" wheel. A 3.75" opening simply won't clear the hub, so the wheel won't sit flat against the hub face even though the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern matches.
For your 5,200 lb axle, I'd stick with a 16" wheel with a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern and a 4.27" center bore. You'll also want to verify the wheel's weight capacity and make sure the larger tire leaves enough clearance around the fender, frame, and between the tires if you've got tandem axles. Ideally you want at least 3" between the tire and the fender, and at least 1" between the inside of the tire and the frame of the trailer.
Was there a specific style or color of wheel you had your eye on?
