Hi Robert, yes, there are a couple of options for carrying a spare tire underneath or at the rear of your 2020 Jayco 29MV, but we do not currently carry a custom undercarriage spare tire carrier specifically designed for that Jayco. We do carry the Lippert Spare Tire Winch with Offset Cable, part # LC159056, and I have included the dimension diagram so you can compare it with your existing setup and make sure you have the needed ground clearance.

If your goal is simply to get the spare tire securely mounted without modifying the motorhome's undercarriage, a hitch mounted option like the Roadmaster Hitch Spare Tire Mount with 2 inch Receiver Opening, part # RM-195225, is a popular solution for motorhome owners. The cool thing about this spare tire carrier is you don't lose your hitch receiver opening. I know that is not quite the same as having the spare tucked underneath, but it can be a much simpler way to carry the spare without having to find a carrier that matches the Jayco's specific frame and underbody layout.

Do you use the hitch on the Jayco for any other accessories or flat towing?

Hello, I added this winch to the front underbody of my fifth wheel .I had to add some cross structure tubing and reinforcement above the mount .the slide out manual crank rod works to drive the winch up and down,Sorry I dont have photos .This is the way most manufacturer mount them .Just verify location and ground clearance from bottom of tire /wheel. @TonyS Thanks for sharing that, Tony! That is really helpful information. Adding the necessary cross tubing and reinforcement is a great example of what may be needed when installing the Lippert spare tire winch in a custom underbody location. As you mentioned, Robert would also want to carefully verify the available space and ground clearance before choosing an installation location. Thanks again for sharing your experience with us! What fifth wheel do you have?

@BlaineP Thanks for sharing your experience, Blaine! It is great to hear that the Lippert spare tire winch worked well for your custom truck build. Your experience is also a good reminder that this type of installation may require fabricating a custom mount and a way to operate the winch, depending on the vehicle and where it is installed. We appreciate you sharing what worked for you, and good luck with your next truck build! What kind of truck are you working on next?
