Heather has given you good advice. I installed the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty Brake Controller with Custom Harness # RED67CR on my 2025 Ford Ranger recently. It was a little problematic finding the gray plug for the custom harness; however, it was well taped to wires just above the left side kick panel of the driver’s seat. Carefully undoing the tape exposed the grey plug into which the custom harness fit perfectly. I didn’t find a convenient location to place the control knob on the dash so I routed the wire behind the dashboard and into the console between the front seats. There was plenty of room to place the small unobtrusive knob where it could be easily accessed when necessary. I attach the brake controller module firmly to a dashboard strut to the right of the steering wheel so it did not move. The controller has given me no problems for my 17 foot Casita RV. Have fun with the installation.
