By leaving the jack scale on all the time will it reduce the accuracy of the scale even if it is in storage for a long period of time

The scale is designed to be used to take a tongue weight measurement and then removed. It isn't intended to support the trailer continuously during storage.

For the best long-term accuracy, place the scale under the jack, take your tongue weight reading, and then remove it once you're finished. During storage, support the trailer directly with the jack foot or a jack pad instead of leaving the scale under load. That keeps the load cell from being subjected to constant pressure and helps ensure accurate readings the next time you use it.
