It sure will Ronald and welcome back! The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness item # RED52VR is exactly what you need for a 2010 Chevy Silverado.

You may need also need the M6 Nut item # 185916 and M8 Nut item # 185917 if the factory wires have never been connected to the battery source. One of the wires sends power to the brake controller and the other is for the accessory circuit on your factory 7-way.

You'll also want to check that you have the correct working fuses for these circuits as well.

The universal harness included with the Red-Arc item # RED52VR will wire directly into your 2010 Chevy Silverado. There is a wire bundle tucked up under the dash, to the left of the steering column, held together with a white tag that has the wires you'll need. The tag should also have the wire functions on it but we have learned that they are as follows:

Red/black on truck goes to brake controller black for 12 volt power. White on the truck goes to white on the controller for ground. Light blue/white on the truck goes to controller red for input from the brake switch. Dark blue on the truck goes to blue on the brake controller for output to the trailer brakes. The orange wire on the truck is not used.

I do have an installation video and a detailed help article that I have linked below that will show you how to install a brake controller on your Silverado.

What kind of trailer are your pulling?
