After some research on my end, I can confirm that there is not a plug-and-play brake controller manufactured for your 2026 Toyota Tacoma SR5. I looked through multiple manufacturers and no one makes a plug-and-play harness for beyond a 2023 Tacoma, leading me to believe that they're actively working on it and testing, but not yet in production. A new brake controller would require you to use a splice-in wiring harness like the one included in the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED52VR. This isn't a difficult installation, but you will need to locate each individual wire and test them for their function to properly install the controller.
For the connections, I highly recommend going with a butt connection like Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector # DW05744-10 and the butt connection requires a crimper like # PTW30764 to install it. These can be sourced from a local hardware store, but they're highly recommend and will keep your connection secure and reliable.
The best thing about this Redarc brake controller is that it's a low profile button-style knob, so you can install it virtually anywhere on your dash and it will fit. Most people will install it next to the steering column, but if you want a factory look with an install in a knockout panel, you can add the Universal Mounting Panel # 331-TPSI-001.

The Redarc Tow-Pro is a great controller. It is not plug and play. You need to get under the dash and splice some wires and it's not as easy as it sounds. I have no idea what I'm doing and I was able to get it connected but connecting to the break wire in my subaru was a challenge. The wire coloring did not match up with the directing and I had to use a meter to determine the always hot wire. If I can do it you can but as I said plug and play is not what this unit is. It's more like delicately splice back the wire and gently connect the hot to hot! It works great for the breaks on my squaredrop trailer! Hope this helps.
