Hey Roberto! 2018 was a split model year for the Wrangler so it is broken up into JK and JL. For example, If you have a standard bumper and it is a JK you would need the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521448-5. If you have a JL then it would be the # RM-521453-5 instead. Both work with any Roadmaster tow bar like the Falcon 3HD # RM27NQ.

If you can tell me which model you have, and if you're looking for a specific base plate, I would be happy to help you find the right one for your setup.

Have you picked out your wiring and brake system yet?

My experience was excellent all done about 90 minutes start to finish. I followed the directions and it was a no brainer. Also this is the third vehicle I have installed a new tow bar on. I We haul the jeep behind our motorhome VR Van Pavao

@VanP thanks for the feedback! It's always great to hear from someone who's installed these on multiple vehicles. I'm glad the installation went smoothly and that you're happy with the setup. Safe travels!

I purchased the RM-521448-5 Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate with removable arms along with the RM-522 Roadmaster Falcon Tow Bar. I installed the Base Plate myself on my 2017 Jeep JK Wrangler Unlimited in about an hour and a half to two hours. Installation was straight forward which included notching the plastic skid plate located under and behind the front bumper. The combination of the base plate and tow bar work well for flat towing the Jeep behind my motorhome. The only issue I have with the setup is that depending upon where you unhook, the locking pins which connect (secure) the tow bar and base plate will get pinched. About half the time this requires me to drive the pins out with a punch and a hammer. It is easier to disconnect with the jeep and towing vehicle aligned straight, head to tail, and on the flat. I don't know how this setup works with other jeep make and models, but for me it works well. I would however suggest having your braking system professionally installed. Good luck :) Richard S

@RichardS thanks for sharing your experience! I'm glad to hear the base plate and Falcon tow bar have worked well for your JK. Tow bars can occasionally bind if there's tension on the system, so I appreciate you sharing what has worked well for your setup.
