Looking For Replacement Waste Valve Parts For 2023 Grand Design Imagine 15BH

Updated 07/31/2026 | Published 07/23/2026

Question:

Hello, Im always pleased with the level of expertise I receive, so hoping you all can help me on this one. I had tread separation from my tire at about 60 mph that broke off my sewer hose connector from the gate valve. Both the black tank and Grey tank used the same bayonet connection at the trailer. It is a 2023 Grand Design Imagine Aim 15bh for reference. Im trying to get the parts I need so my camping season doesnt have to end with it sitting in a shop. I can send pictures if that is helpful

Hey Chris, welcome back. Sorry to hear that happened. Tire tread separations can make a real mess of the plumbing under a trailer. The good news is that Grand Design uses standard RV sewer components, so there's a good chance you can replace the damaged parts yourself and get back to camping without waiting on a shop.

The biggest thing is figuring out exactly what broke. If it was just the bayonet fitting where the sewer hose twists on, that's usually a pretty straightforward repair. If the tread took out the gate valve body or cracked any of the ABS fittings, you'll want to replace those while you're in there. If you can send me a couple of pictures of the damage from underneath the trailer, I'll help you identify every part you'll need so you can get everything ordered the first time and get back on the road.

There is no way to add pictures to the comments on here (yet), but you are welcome to email them to me. My email is [email protected]. Send those over and I'm happy to look into it.

Thanks Jesse. I've sent you an email with pictures of the damage. I found a list of parts from the Grand Design's page, and have already order a new sewer gate value. It's really just the ABS fittings. The sewer line is a 3 inch and the gray tank line is 1.5 inch
