Question:

I have a 2010 Casita SD with a leaking gray water tank valve. I figure in the long run it would be prudent to just replace the whole unit. Is the #T80 double RV waste valve the one that I need? Also, is the adhesive that you recommend the same as that used to cement PVC pipes? I have that left from a previous project. Thank you?

The Double RV Waste Valve part # T80 is more than likely correct for your 2010 Casita Spirit Deluxe. In order to be sure you will just want to take a quick measurement of the black and grey water lines. The black water line should be 3" diameter and the grey water line should be 1-1/2"diameter as this is standard for RV's but a quick check would confirm this.

The PVC cement you have cannot be used with the Double RV Waste Valve as it is made of ABS, not PVC. The Valterra ABS Solvent Cement part # A05-0303 which will be what you need is not so much a glue as it is a solvent that melts the surfaces of the two ends together with a chemical reaction. The PVC cement would not form a good seal if used on an ABS pipe.
