Question:
Would the LC285318 be an optional replacement for this jack? The lippert part has a slightly higher lift capacity, but can it support the 5k as this RAM jack does?

Hey Chris, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Lippert Electric Trailer Jack # LC285318 is absolutely an option for replacing the Round A-Frame Trailer Jack # TJA-5000S-B. They both have the same tube diameter and mounting bracket hole spacing.
The Lippert # LC285318 jack does have a lower capacity at 3,500 lbs, but keep in mind this refers to the tongue weight of the trailer not the total weight. 3,500 lbs of tongue weight capacity covers most bumper-pull campers, so that shouldn't be a problem. As long as you have a way to power it, you'll be good to go.
What kind of trailer do you have?
