Features to Know About

Support Longer Off-Grid Stays: 600 Watts Replenishes More of Your Daily Power

Extended trips often mean running your refrigerator, lights, fans, devices, and other everyday gear for more hours each day. With three 200-watt panels collecting solar energy, this kit helps restore more of the power drawn from a larger battery bank and reduces how often you need hookups or a generator. It is a strong fit for RVs, vans, and truck campers with higher daily power demands.

Get More From Your Panel: MPPT Charging Uses Available Solar Power More Efficiently

The included 40-amp MPPT controller continually adjusts to changing sunlight, temperature, and battery conditions, then converts excess panel voltage into additional charging current. This helps send more of the panel's available energy to your battery throughout the day.

MPPT 40 Amp

By comparison, a basic PWM controller brings the panel voltage down to closely match the battery, which can leave available solar power unused. MPPT technology helps you get more usable charging power from the same panel, especially when sunlight is limited or conditions change. Built-in protection guards against overcharging, reverse polarity, short circuits, and surges. The LCD screen and LED indicators also make it easy to check charging status, adjust settings, and identify errors.

Spend Less Time Gathering Parts: A Complete Kit Simplifies Installation

You do not have to match a panel with a separate controller, cables, brackets, and fuse protection. The essential components are included and designed to work together, while the instructions guide you through the installation. Once the system is connected, you can focus on packing for the trip instead of tracking down another missing part.

Ready for Your Next Adventure

Plans change and gear upgrades happen. The MPPT controller adapts automatically for 12V or 24V batteries and works with lithium, AGM, gel, or wet cell types. Add more panels in parallel or series as your needs grow, your kit is ready, with flexible wiring and smart technology that grows with your adventures. Set it up once and know you're set for seasons to come.

Video Transcript for Review of Rich Solar RV Solar Panels - 600 Watt Charging System Kit - RS47VR

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Rich Solar 600 watt charging system kit. Now, right at the top of our time together, I do wanna let you know that this kit will include a total of three of these 200 watt solar panels for a total of 600 watt charging system. And then you are going to get a total of 12 brackets here. I just had space limitations here on my table, so I just wanna let you know that you will be getting three 200 watt panels. Now, finding the right solar package for your rig can be stressful with all those questions about wattage, amp hours, panel dimensions, conversion formulas, amperage ratings, and a whole lot more.

But fortunately, we can take all that stress off of your plate. On your screen, I am including our link to our solar calculator here at etrailer.com. With that solar calculator, all you really have to do is answer a few questions and the net calculator will help you find exactly what you need for your particular setup. Now, this kit is designed to charge and keep your battery bank ready for those longer stays and convenient appliance use. This kit is designed with the three 200 watt solar panels to harvest the solar energy, that energy from the sun, and that's going to keep your RV, your van, your boat batteries, all charged up and ready for extended off-grid trips.

And then you're gonna be able to regulate and optimize the charging to your battery using this 40 amp MPPT charge controller. And then you're gonna be able to safely and efficiently deliver power through the properly gauged wiring and protection, and then mount this system in place with the hardware and the brackets that is included with this kit. So virtually, everything that you're gonna need. Now, the panels utilize monocrystalline cells with a high conversion efficiency. That's gonna help ensure optimal energy capture even in limited sunlight conditions.

Each of the three panels have pre-drilled holes on the back that's gonna simplify mounting with various mounting systems within the included Z brackets. The panels have a robust construction, features an anodized aluminum frame and anti-reflective tempered glass, giving you durability against harsh environmental conditions. The panels are actually designed and tested in all weather conditions, so that strong tempered glass with the water-resistant connections are gonna hold up really well for you. Now, if you're wondering about the measurements, each of these panels are gonna be right at 58 5/8 inches long end to end, 26 3/4 inches wide, and about 1 1/8 inches thick. And each panel weighs about 25 to 26 pounds.

Now, taking a closer look at the components here, we have this 40 amp controller and this is an MPP charge controller. So this is gonna do more than just boost your power. It's going to automatically protect your system from wiring mistakes, overcharging, and unexpected surges. With advanced tracking, you're gonna get the most energy possible from your panels even on those cloudy days. And you probably already saw we do have an LCD screen here and LED indicators that's gonna make it very easy to keep tabs on your system. You're gonna be able to fine-tune the settings and check the error codes at a glance. Then you are going to get these 10 feet long eight gauge battery cables. These cables connect the charge controller to your battery bank. And then, you're gonna get these 20 feet long, 10 gauge solar extension cables that are going to connect your solar panels to the charge controller. And then, the inline fuse holder with the 15 amp fuse is gonna protect your system from electrical surges or short circuits. And then, I have, like I said, I only have four brackets here on my table, but you are going to get a total of 12 of these high quality anodized aluminum Z brackets that are gonna give you a firm hold on those panels, and the design is going to ensure a hassle-free installation on flat surfaces, making them an excellent choice for off-grid applications. So if you do pick this kit up, we would love to hear back from you regarding your experience with getting this mounted into place. And so you can share your experience with us by dropping a comment or leaving a review on this product page. And if you happen to have any other additional questions, don't hesitate to reach back out to us. We wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I have the 2-panel Rich Solar kit installed on my Bontrager Outdoors Radical 12RAD and it's pretty impressive. I like how easy it was to get set up. The wiring was clearly labeled and the brackets were pre-drilled, which made everything feel straightforward and not overcomplicated. The 400-watt setup gives me enough solar to keep my batteries charging during the day. I was able to camp off grid for 4 days while using my 12 volt mini fridge, lights, fan and phone charger without hooking up to shore power.

I also like that the system is easy to expand. My trailer doesn’t have room for another roof panel, but having a plug for a portable panel makes it simple to add more power later if I need it. Overall, it feels like a solid mid-range option that’s affordable and DIY-friendly.
