Yes, the Blue Ox Avail # BX7425 can replace a Avail # BX7420 as they are both Blue Ox Avail tow bars rated for 10,000 lbs. The primary difference is that the # BX7425 is designed for a 2-1/2" receiver, while the # BX7420 is designed for a 2" receiver.

If your motorhome has a 2-1/2" receiver, the # BX7425 will work as a direct replacement. If your motorhome has a 2" receiver, you will want to stay with a 2" shank tow bar.

Current 10,000 lb rated Blue Ox tow bars for a 2" receiver are:

# BX7420 - Blue Ox Avail
# BLU28QV - Blue Ox Ascent
# BLU78QV - Blue Ox Alpha 2

Were you intending on moving from a 2" to a 2 1/2" shank for the tow bar?

What vehicle are you flat towing?

I love this Blue Ox tow bar. Compared to the other two Blue Ox tow bars I've had in the past, this one stores more easily, and is easy to connect to our Jeep Gladiator. I feel confident in it's strength and design to be strong and secure. Best wishes and safe travels.

No I wanted to stay with the 2inch shank so, I can use any of the 3 you listed correct? I tow a 2013 VW Jetta TDI manual. Thank you James..
