Hook up, check tongue weight, and get on the road with fewer steps. This kit pairs a 3,500 lb electric trailer jack with a jack foot tongue weight scale, letting you lift your trailer and verify the load during the same hitching process.
When you're getting ready to tow, it's hard to know if your trailer's tongue weight is right just by looking at it. Lower your trailer onto the gauge while it's still on your jack, see where the weight stands, move your gear if needed, and check it again before you hitch up. Because the scale replaces your jack foot, there's no separate tongue weight scale to deal with every time you check your load. Four mounting positions let you rotate the gauge toward the side that's easiest to read. If you use your trailer on gravel, grass, or other soft surfaces, the scale also works with the 6" Round SnapPad (SN47FR - sold separately) to help keep the jack from sinking.
The 12V motor raises and lowers your trailer with the push of a switch instead of a manual crank. The drop leg extends up to 4-1/2", helping you get closer to the ground before using the motor. A built-in LED lights your coupler when you're hitching up before sunrise or after dark, and the included manual crank keeps the jack usable if electrical power isn't available.
Moisture takes a toll on trailer jacks, so this one uses weather protection to help limit damage over time. The jack is made of black powder coated steel to help resist rust. Weatherproof buttons and the rubber cover over the manual crank opening help keep moisture out, while the included canvas cover helps protect the jack during storage. The 20A automatic reset relay fuse protects the motor from overloads and short circuits.
This jack wires directly to your trailer's 12V power source, so it doesn't rely on your vehicle's 7-way connector for operation. Top-mounted controls keep operation straightforward from the jack housing, and the automatic reset relay fuse resets itself after an overload or short circuit instead of requiring a replacement fuse.
Note: This kit is recommended for A-frame trailer jacks only. The included tongue weight scale fits most A-frame trailer jacks with a 2" diameter inner tube and an interchangeable foot.

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at our very own etrailer electric trailer jack. Now folks, this uses a tongue weight skeleton included along with an A-frame connection and you will need to power it up with a 12 volt direct power connection. Now this is rated at 3,500 pounds capacity and it's really nice because you get 18-inches of lift with that screw travel and you get an additional 4-1/2-inches roughly with the drop leg. So you're also going to get this nice canvas bag that's going to go on there when you're not towing. So when you're in park mode, you wanna store the trailer, put this bag on, keep dirt, debris, bugs out and stuff, mud daubers like to lay nest to make muddy nest and stuff in there.
You get the picture, right And then of course you've got the bag here that's got high density foam. That's going to be the storage bag for our tongue weight scale. It goes scaled down into the bag and then you can zip that up and put it in a storage location of your choice, whether it's your toolbox, behind a seat in a storage box or a storage compartment, who knows So that's what you're going to get as well with the bolts, nuts, and washers included for installation. And of course this guy, as you know, this is our manual up and down tool in the event that you, God forbid, have a power failure, you can pop off this top plug. Now I can put that in there and I can crank up or down as needed.
So this is a 3,500 pound electric jack. Again, you need to wire it directly. Now what's neat is that we give you the ring terminals needed and this has a built in automatic reset protection. It's a 20 amp automatic reset relay fuse, and that's going to protect the jack motor from overloads and also protect it in the vehicle from short circuits and those kind of things. Now zooming back down here to the bottom again, you have your drop leg.
I can simply pull the pin here. I can go up or down again, about 4-1/2-inches. That's the number of adjustments I have here with the drop leg. So if I want to get up higher easier or to the ground faster, I can lower the drop leg and close that distance faster before I have to engage the jack. Once I got that, I can put my tongue weight scale underneath here.
I can pin that in place. Now I can read my tongue weight scale in measurements of 50 pounds all the way up to 2,000 max as far as the rating on this. And if I want to, if maybe I can't read it from the front, I need to turn it sideways. I got a hole on both sides that I can use as well. So we gave you lots of adjustments there as far as that goes. So you should be able to access those really easy. And then you can put your drop leg back in and be on your way as needed. So tongue weight is very important folks. If you don't already know, that's what's going to be crucial to give you, or one of the crucial things rather, give you a smooth ride. So if you have a heavy tongue weight, you're going to be pushing the back end of your vehicle down, pushing that front up, your headlights are pointing to the sky, you've lost traction in the front a little bit and you can potentially fishtail pulling that trailer. So we get an accurate tongue weight reading. Now we can adjust gear forward or back, get it more leveled over the trailer axle and we can be on our way safely. And you'd honestly be surprised. We've got lots of literature, we've got lots of test videos as well on the page where you can see demonstrations and just see how crucial even just 6-inches to a foot moving maybe 50 pounds back or forward can make all the difference as far as fishtailing and those kind of things. So make sure you're checking those out. If you have any questions about any of that, reach out to us. We're more than happy to assist you as well. So folks, again, this is our very own etrailer electric power jack with included tongue weight scale for an A-frame connection. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

Glad you are liking it, James! Well, mostly anyway. I will talk to our product development guys to see what we can do about a longer ground wire. Wouldn't be a bad idea by any stretch of the meaning. What do you tow in your race trailer?

That’s awesome to hear, and it looks like a clean install on your Minnie too. And I like that you called out the internal circuit breaker. That was a deliberate design choice to avoid the hassle of inline fuses, so it’s great to hear that’s something people actually appreciate in real use. Where are you taking the Minnie next?
