Recommended Furrion Chill Cube w/ Heat Pump for a 2nd AC System on a 30 Amp Service

Published 06/08/2026

Question:

I am trying to find the best solution to cooling our Sunseeker 2850 LE. Our coach has a 30 amp service and a Furrion 18k VS Heat pump. The required voltage for the Furrion is similar to a soft start AC. Can I add a second Furrion unit and run both off my 30 amp service? If so, which one would be the best choice? PS: the only other 110 volt draw is our Furrion Microwave/Convection oven. Refrig is 12volt. Recommendation please

You sure can Benson so long as you don't run them both at full blast at the same time. I recommend the Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump item # FR87TQ in black or item # FR77TQ in white. These are complete AC systems that include a built in heat pump, along with a air distribution box designed for ductless setups that has built in controls, and a convenient remote.

The 18k Chill Cube AC units draws 15.8 amps and the heater pulls 11.9 amps. They have an amp draw of 11.6 amps – 15.8 amps depending on what setting you use. I strongly recommend turning one of your AC's completely off when you use your microwave.

Are you wanting a heat pump model for your second AC as well or just a standard Furrion Chill Cube?

I already have a new Furrion 18K VS. Just trying to add to add more mire cooling. Won't really need a 2nd heat pump and probably just a ductless sustem. Which would you recommend question mark

@BensonL Right on! That makes complete sense. For standard ductless 18k Chill Cube systems without the heat pump, I recommend the Furrion item # FR59TD in white or item # FR27TD in black.
