Will Kenda ST235/75R15 Radial Off-Road Trailer Tire Work On A 2020 Winnebago Micro Minnie?

Updated 06/08/2026 | Published 05/27/2026

Question:

I have a 2020 Winnebago Micro Minnie with the original Trail Guide 5 lug 109S Xl Mand S max load 2271lbs @50 psi, Treadwear 500, Traction A, Temp B It seems Kenda is the only STinch tire that comes in size 235/75R15 which is also stated on the Trailer specs. I dont want to go to the narrower 225/75R15 tire. 1. Will the Kenda fit my rims? 2. How does the Kenda compare to my original Tire Trail Guide. The tire look brand new, they have tire covers and no dry rot, but at 3619 date I know I need to replace them. I long does it take to receive the Kendas once ordered? Who can install them? I live in Wilmington, MA. Thanks, Bob

Hey Bob, thanks for reaching out. The Kenda ST235/75R15 Radial Off-Road Trailer Tire fits a 15" x 6" rim, so as long as that's what you have now, they will work great.

As far as comparing the two tires, the biggest difference is that the Kenda # KE68JR is built specifically as an off-road trailer tire, while the Trail Guide is more of a highway-oriented tire. The Kenda carries significantly more weight, 2,860 lbs at 65 PSI versus 2,271 lbs at 50 PSI, and it has stiffer sidewalls designed for towing. That means better stability, less sway, and more confidence under load, especially if you're near the upper end of your trailer's weight capacity.

The other thing you'll notice is the tread. The KR29 has a much more aggressive off-road pattern, so it does a lot better on gravel, dirt roads, muddy campsites, and rough terrain. If you're mostly on pavement, the Trail Guide will likely be a little quieter and ride smoother. But if this is going on a trailer that sees any off-pavement use or you're looking for the strongest trailer-specific option, I'd take the Kenda all day long.

It looks like they are int stock right now and we typically get orders shipped within 24 hours so they should only take a few days to arrive coming to your from Missouri.

As far as installers, we have a few not too far from you. I suggest checking with State Line Trailer Sales in Windham, or with Streetlights in Watertown. Both places have experience with trailer tires and wheels. I've included a link to our installer locator for your below. You can enter your zip code and see the full list of installers nearest you.

Where do you tow most? Do you do a lot of off-roading?

Have a set of these on my 2022 Intech Sol Horizon rover. Had them over a year now and probably about 3000 miles. They ride well with minimal sway. Like you this was one of the few ST rated tires in this size. I don’t regret going with them.

One thing to note is they do wear well and have substantial tread compared to other ST tires. This is one of the reasons I got them as I was tired of the short tread life with tires like the Goodyear Endurance. I also spend time on forest service roads so thought the offroad tread design might reduce the chance for flats. This extra tread also means their dimensions are probably bigger than standard ST tires of the same size. I lost some clearance in the trailer wheel well after mounting them so make sure the pay attention to the diameter and width specs.

@Fishnot Thanks for sharing that insight. It’s great to hear the tread life has been better than some of the other ST tires you’ve run, and your point about the extra tread depth is a really good one. A lot of people focus on the aggressive tread pattern but don’t realize it can affect overall tire dimensions and wheel well clearance. Appreciate you pointing that out for others considering the switch.

I bought these tires to replace the original equipment tires on my 2021 Winnebago Hike. They were one of the few options in the size and better priced than the Westlakes that they replaced. So far, with a couple of trips under my belt, these tires are performing well.

@RandyN Thanks for sharing that, Randy. It’s great to hear these were a good fit for your Winnebago Hike and came in at a better price than the Westlakes they replaced. It’s always encouraging when a tire starts off performing well right out of the gate. Appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
