Looking for Replacement Roof Vent Operator for Maxxair 7500k

Question:

I have a maxx air fan 215120 model 7500K When I put the master power on the coach I hear the motor run its cycle for 10 seconds like its trying to open the lid but does not open. I took it apart and directions said before installing unit be sure lid is in open position, which i did. Once assembled and power was put on it cycled and closed on its own. But it does not open although the motor is running. I think I need the operator for this model. Stan

I found that the replacement was fairly simple and I actually followed the directions. I’m not really handy but the operator fixed the problem. Was getting a clunking sound and no opening. Very pleased with the results.

I had the exact same issue with Maxx Air. I ordered the operator that Jameson referred to. It was an easy enough fix. When I removed the old operator I found the inside gears were all chewed up. Since my Maxx Air wasn't more than a few years old, I was puzzled by why the gears were mutilated. I since have realized that driving on so many rough roads with my fan cover on the open position that the cover bounced so much it cannibalized itself. It's about a half hour repair job if you remember how you took it apart to begin with. No big tricks just patience required
