Weight Distribution Hitch for 2022 Flastaff MAC 425M
Published 05/07/2026 >
Question:
Hello, I have a 2022 Flagstaff MAC 425 pop up camper. The tongue weight is 440 lbs. with the battery, dual 20 lb. propane tanks and bracket plus a 10 pound propane tank and mount ,all located in front of the cargo trunk. the trunk capacity has a max cargo weight of 150 lbs. 440 + 150 is 590 pound tongue weight. the trunk may or may not always be at weight capacity. Will this weight distribution hitch be a good choice for this camper? Thanks.

Hello again Brent! Yes, the Curt TruTrack 2P Weight Distribution System # C95MJ would be a good choice. Even with those tanks empty you'll be sitting at the low end of the tongue weight range for the system. With full tanks and gear you'll be closer to that 590. This also leaves room for any gear you're carrying behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle since that also counts as tongue weight.
Where are you headed once you get the weight distribution hitch set up?
