Cargo Carrier With Rise Shank Recommendation for a 2014 Toyota Sienna and Curt Hitch

I have a 2014 Toyota Sienna with a Curt Hitch that I recently purchased from E-Trailers. The hitch is approx 9inch from the ground. I want to use a cargo carrier platform that I currently have. I use this carrier on a 2001 Toyota Sienna. The OEM hitch that came with this vehicle is 12inch from the ground and is marginally OK when the cargo carrier is attached. I need to go over driveways slowly to prevent the carrier from bottoming out. If I put this carrier on the 2014 Sienna with the Curt hitch, I am sure that it will be bottoming out frequently since its 3inch lower. Hence the desire to use this 4inch hitch riser. The question is whether this will have enough length to clear the bumper on the 2014 Sienna. I have read on other web sites that a similar Curt product does not have enough length to clear the bumper. I want to make sure the RM-070 can clear the bumper before the rise starts. Thanks in advance for your advice.

The best solution I can recommend for you would be to get a cargo carrier with a rise built into the shank so that it would sit high enough so that it wouldn't drag.
The # RM-070 that you referenced has only been tested for use in flat towing setups. If you used it with a cargo carrier you would void the warranty.
We have 3 carriers with build in shank rise. The enclosed carrier # M2205 has 5-1/2" rise, the open carrier # 63153 has a 2-1\2" rise and the # e98874 has a 2" rise.
I know this probably isn't the answer you wanted to hear, but it's the only option I can safely recommend for you.
