Question:
I own a 24 Tacoma. The hitch pin is 5 inches long with one inch protruding when placed in the receiver. The hitch actually has 2 walls on each side making it thicker than a normal 2 inch hitch. Will this work? Thanks

It is not Dan. The Weigh Safe Hitch Receiver Locking Pin item # WS54CR only has a 3-7/16" usable span. The new 2" Toyota factory receivers are just a bit wider so it's not going to work.
Instead, you'll need the InfiniteRule Hitch Lock for 2" Toyota Tacoma Hitches item # IR75FR. This locking hitch pin has been specifically designed to work with the extra steel Toyota decided to add to their factory hitches awhile back.
I've linked a review video below where you can see the features of the item # IR75FR demonstrated on the wider 2" Toyota hitch.
What kind of trailer are you pulling?

Let’s find it works very well when I got mine. I tried it. I liked it. And it is a more or less permanent fixture with the hitch in the back of my 2025 Tacoma TRD off-road. When I installed it, I looped the lock and put a light film of anti-seas on the threads.. here Northwest we have a good winter. I try to keep it well lubed and the lock lubed as well so it works.

Thanks for the input. I'm towing an Airstream nest. Tongue weight approximately 400 pounds and max trailer weight of 4K pounds, using an andersen weight distribution hitch.
