Which Trailer Hitch Ball Moints are Compatible With Reese Friction Bar Sway-Control Bracket?

Ive learned the hard way that the Reese sway control bracket is incompatible with Weigh Safe ball mount products because the ball mount platform must be narrower than 2-5/8inch to fit the cutout on the bracket.. The Weigh Safe ball mount platform far exceeds this. Frustratingly, no ball mounts display this dimension. How can I determine which ball mounts are compatible with this bracket, i.e., have ball mount platforms measuring 2-5/8inch or less?

The bracket you are referencing # RP26003 is designed for the more traditional fixed mount style ball mounts like # 40346 for example. I've attached an article to help you with the rise or drop needed for your application.
If you want to use an adjustable ball mount there are more limited options for sway bar compatibility. The MaxxTow Adjustable-Height Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 10" Drop, 8" Rise - 5,000 lbs # MT70067, the Curt Channel Style Adjustable Ballmount - 5-1/4" Rise, 6-3/4" Drop - 6,000 lbs # C45901, or the integrated tab of the Ball Mount Adjustable with Sway-Control Tab, 6,000 lbs # 7390 are the more popular options.
