Is there a Tire Changing Kit for a Single Axle Trailer?

Updated 04/20/2026 | Published 04/14/2026

Question:

I just bought a 7x12 utility trailer. I am looking for a kit that has a jack and lug wrench that bolts to the trailer or is incorporated with the spare tire mount on the side of the trailer. I hope that makes sense. That way the trailer has the necessary products to change a flat tire no matter who is using the trailer. Thanks

Hey Bert congrats on the new trailer. We don't carry a specific tire changing kit let alone one that can be bolted to the side of the trailer. Nor do I know of one that exists. We do have the necessary parts though and I have a storage solution.

To be prepared to change a spare tire on your utility trailer, I recommend the Powerbuilt Bottle Jack item # ALL640405 and the Telescoping Lug Wrench w/ Reversible Sockets item # TM69SR.

The Bottle Jack item # ALL640405 has a extremely capable 2-ton capacity and a lift range of 6-3/16" - 12-1/16". You'll easily be able to get this jack setup below your utility trailer's frame to safely change a flat tire.

The Telescoping Lug Wrench item # TM69SR is only 13" long but extends out to 19" for extra leverage. The included reversable sockets fit 21 mm, 23 mm and 17-mm to 19-mm outer diameter lug nuts.

Does your utility trailer have a locking tool box like item # e64VV? This is going to be a great option for storing a jack and lug wrench so anyone using the trailer can access them. You'll also be able to store tie down straps and not have to worry about theft or damage due to exposure to the elements.

You can add this information, along with any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.
