Hello Jordan,

Thank you for being a loyal etrailer neighbor for 5 years now, I’m glad you finally found a reason to write in! Also, thanks for including the picture, always most helpful.

You can add that MB Sturgis quick connect to this setup, but it has to go on the low pressure side of the system. That regulator in the picture is a two stage regulator, so anything before it is high pressure from the tank and anything after it, where the copper line comes out on the right side, is already stepped down to low pressure. Since the 104052-MBS quick connect is designed for low pressure use only, it needs to be installed after the regulator, not before it.

Tying into that outlet line is what avoids the headache of mismatched fittings or ending up with something that does not work and needs to be redone. Once it is set up correctly, you will be able to just click into the RV quick disconnect and cook without having to deal with extra propane tanks or adapters.

I do want to mention that working with propane fittings is not something I would recommend unless you are experienced and comfortable with gas systems. If you are unsure at all, it is much safer to have a professional handle the installation. I have attached our Dealer Locator if you would rather have someone local take care of it for you.

What are you planning to run off the quick connect, a grill, griddle, or maybe a small fire pit?

I added it into our Propane tank connections after the regulator, so it would have the right pressure. I added it because this class a motorhome did not come with a quick connect LP port like our last two RV’s had. We connect a 12 foot quick coupler hose to our grill so we don’t have to have it so close to the motorhome. It worked great! The female quick connect has a nice rubber plug to keep it clean.

Note that some portable gas grills, especially those that you screw the small gas canisters onto have a regulator built-in. Adding that QD valve downstream of the RV gas regulator may make the pressure too low to properly run the grill. Our Wanderlodge had such a regulator, and a tee similar to what was shown in the first picture above. I connected the Sturgis QD off the unused port on that tee, and everything on our Weber Q1200 works perfectly!

@GB Yes, big issues people run into when trying to do this set-up is they become double regulated, just need one =)
