Propane Fitting to Connect RV Furnace to Propane Tank Using Quick Disconnect

Published 12/05/2024

Question:

hi, I have a propane tank on my truck that powers a rv furnace. i installed on the high pressure side a T. the T has a female 1/4 inverted flare fitting that I would like to install a quick disconnect fitting. So, the quick disconnect has to be the hi pressure one. do you carry this? secondly i need a i1/4 in inverted flare to 1/4 in npt fitting to attach the quick disconnect. optimally the fitting would be a 90 deg elbow. do you carry this fitting 90deg or straight? thanks

Hey Daniel,

I believe what you're looking for is the MB Sturgis Quick-Disconnect Propane Connector # 104052-MBS along with the Propane Adapter Fitting # 37207-30055.

If either of these connections need to be different, please let me know and I'll b happy to see if we have something else that works out better for you!

Jon, what is the pressure rating on the quick disconnect? this looks like a quick disconnect that is used on the low-pressure side of the regulator. I need one rated for 200-300psi which is the high-pressure side of the regulator. the fitting wont work. i need a male 1/4 in reverse flare to 1/4 in npt. there is a female 1/4in reverse flare on the truck.

@DanielA Thanks for reaching back out! I'm not seeing that we have anything that meets those specs, unfortunately. It looks like MB Sturgis has the T-Fitting # 103537-MBS that would work if you're willing to replace the current connection to your tank though. Aside from that, I recommend reaching out to MB Sturgis directly (https://www.mbsturgis.com/contact-us/) to see if they can custom make it for you. I've spoken with them in the past and they've told me they can sometimes help out with these types of projects.
