RV Sealant - Non-Sag vs Self-Leveling
The kind of sealant you apply to your RV is important. To determine the type of sealant you need for your application, you will want to consider what it is you are sealing and where it is on your RV.
Self-leveling sealant is designed to level out as you apply it. The thick liquid slowly flows into a level position as gravity takes effect. This is particularly useful when sealing flat surfaces, like around a roof vent, AC, or skylight. As you apply the sealant, gravity will cause it to settle into an even line, giving you a clean, low-profile look.
Non-sag sealant is designed to retain its shape as you apply it. The consistency of the liquid is thick but malleable enough to be easily applied without causing sagging or slumping. This is useful when sealing vertical surfaces, such as the edges of a wall, window, or vent. As you apply the sealant, it will harden just enough to keep the liquid from drooping, giving you a clean, even look.

Hoping the nozzle survives shipping. It was jammed in a box and bent to the side. Product will be useless if the nozzle falls out when used
Case came with 2 tubes exploded inside
Worked out great, better than I expecte d.
I actually used it first thing this morning and it was easy to apply. A bit stringy and very tacky but of course that’s what gives it the flexibility to deal with the rigors of the so-called earthquake going down the road. Very pleased.
Very good product for waterproofing
I thought I was good with silicone/caulk until I tried to apply this. good lord, its stringy sticks to anything it comes into contact with. nearly impossible to pull away from a bead without a 3-foot-long string that will permanently be attached to whatever it touches. Did seal up everything but cannot be worked, smoothed or adjusted.
My rating is based on the etrailer experience
I have not used the no-sag sealant yet
Very easy to install as long as it is warm, appears to be good quality.
Serious sealant. Wet-set component without a fillet works best. If fillet, use minimum qty w/ small tip opening. Have thinner and a rag handy for cleanup.
Could be a 5 star, but extremely stretchy web-like trailers.
Also, was surprised by the 1 week cure time. No mention of when weather proofing time is reached.
Also, could be 5 star, but that is a time will tell moment.
Thanks.
Had to do some sanding around the hex screw thread on the inside in order to get the nut over the shaft of the electric jack. Not a problem, part is better quality then the original part. :)
Great company to work with for trailer items
This arrived with the spout shoved into the tube, I have not tried to use it yet. Hopefully it will still work.
