Question:
Hello. I am looking to buy a new equalizer setup for my travel trailer due to a significant amount of bucking when going over rough roads. Its a 2018 grand design imagine 2800 BH and the wheel base is a 35. I am trying to make sure the one listed below is the correct one and also I was wondering what all hardware it comes with? Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit - Double-Eye Springs - Tandem Axle - 8,000 lbs

Hey Ryan! Yes, the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-653-00 is what you need for your Grand Design Imagine. The length of this equalizer matches the Dexter 13-122 that came with your trailer, which is the most important factor so you keep the suspension geometry the same.
The kit comes with all of the hardware you need for installation. This includes heavy duty shackle straps, wet bolts, and bronze bushings which are also an upgrade on top of the E-Z Flex equalizer. What you get is long lasting components along with a smoother ride.
Where are you headed next with your Imagine once you get the E-Z Flex installed?

Best thing I ever did to my trailer.

Dexter equalizers are a wet bolt system that make them easy to maintain. My trailer rides smoothly and softens every road imperfection. Everything is included for easy installation. I paid a trailer place $300 to swap out parts.

I installed this on my 2021 Grand Design ImagineXLS 22MLE. You'll need a couple of jacks to help manipulate the suspension parts into place to align the bolt holes, etc., but its a manageable job to do it yourself if you've got some basic wrenching skills and a fairly level spot to do the work. As @Rick G. noted, watch an install video or two first before taking it on. If you're not up for it, any mechanic shop can do the install for you if you'd prefer to stroke the check instead. The system itself did smooth out the ride on our coach. I'm pleased to see that most of the newer models come with some kind of cushioned suspension kit from the factory these days as it will definitely help prolong the life of the coach.

Ditto to all the other comments. One thing I would add is to consider adding an X Factor brace or 2 (or 3) while you have the suspension apart. I did 2 braces (middle and rear) a couple of years later and wish I would have done it all at once. They won’t help with the bucking, but bracing the shackles is a highly recommended upgrade.Sometimes the hardest part of the job is getting the trailer all jacked up and secure, so consider whatever else you want to do while you’re there.

Ryan, I used the Dexter EZ-Flex on a Grand Design Imagine XLS 22RBE. It was a fairly easy install after watching a video and it definitely helped to smooth out the bucking.
