How Cold Can it Be And Furrion Chill Cube RV AC Unit Heat Pump Will Still Work

Question:
What is the minimum outside temperature that the heat pump will operate at? Is there an interface board needed to work with an older Dometic multi zone controller?

Hey Trent, the heat pump of the Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube part # FR59TQ is going to be effective down to about 40 to 45 degrees. If it gets colder than that it's going to be time to switch to a furnace.
There isn't a way to integrate this into an older Dometic multizone controller. There was a big change in the laws for RV AC units in January of 2025 so that basically everything had to be redesigned and there aren't any adapters anymore that allow mixing brands. This comes with everything needed to install and work independently though.
