Does Stealth Hitch for 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Come with Trailer Wiring

2016 Range Rover Supercharged L405 Hi. Thanks for all the info on the site. I love that the kit includes the wiring harness but I am curious about the need for the ECU. This is the LR part number VPLGT0204GEN which they call the Genuine L405 Towing Module. Supposedly this properly runs the trailer lights and calms the park distance from flipping out when theres a trailer attached and also has some trailer sway control, Trailer Stability Assist. Do you have any insight or experience with this module? Do people add this when adding the Stealth Hitch?

Hey Jay, while the Stealth hitch part # SH46GR does come with trailer wiring for your 2016 Land Rover Range Rover it does not come with the Land Rover harness you mentioned that takes care of the parking sensors so you'd want to get that from a Land Rover dealer. What are you planning on towing?

Towing a utility trailer for now but hope to maybe pull a boat someday.

@Jay I tow a 23’ Wakesetter with this set up and the vehicle does remarkably well. In the absence of the ECU, the parking alarms go a little bizerk. But then again, they do the same every time back out of the garage. Happy towing.

@Ray Thanks for sharing. There is a button to silence the parking sensors so that’s a lot cheaper than the ECU and a trip to the $tealership!
