Looking for a gooseneck ball fifth wheel hitch setup that will work in a 2026 Ram RHO 1500 I have a light weight fifth wheel trailer that I’d like to use. Also is there an air bag set up for this truck ? Thanks Jay

Hey Jay! For a gooseneck hitch you need the B&W Turnoverball # BW94UR. I'm not entirely sure what you have in mind for towing, but you can use this as a standard gooseneck or add the Companion 5th wheel hitch to tow your 5th wheel.

If you're wanting to use a gooseneck pin box clearance is going to be a problem. The right Companion depends on your bed length. If you have the 6-1/2' bed you need the slider # BWRVK3400-5W and if it is the 5-1/2' bed the fixed Companion # BWRVK3500 with a rotating pin box is the only option.

The RHO is limited on air bags but you can use the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with Internal Jounce Bumpers # AL45QF. These have cradles for the lower brackets which allow the air bags to work with the RHO and TRX suspension. This is compatible with an in-bed hitch so it will work with the Turnoverball.

Light weight fifth wheel camper with a turning point hitch . Pin weight is around 800 lbs. not sure if air bags are needed.

@JayT the # AL45QF certainly wouldn't hurt. Looking around at what other RHO owners have to say they seem to be pretty happy with them just for regular towing, so I'm sure they will be beneficial with your 5th wheel. You can run them at the minimum psi when you aren't towing/hauling so they won't impact ride quality. If you're towing the 5th wheel quite a bit I would consider adding an air compressor # AL74000EZ as well so you can easily adjust them no matter where you go.
