Hey Michael, I went down to the warehouse to get the measurements.
The cable drums on that M-3 # M386FR spring system are 4 inches in diameter and 2 3/8 inches in width. The exact width isn’t specified because they’re designed to slide and adjust on the shaft to match your trailer setup.
Are you installing these on a Toy hauler, Utility trailer, ATV/Bike trailer?

Yes I am installing on a enclose trailer. In fact I've already ordered and installed this unit and it worked great, the measurements are exactly as you stated. Totally pleased with my purchase and now I can lift the ramp door on my 8.5 x 7' ramp door with one finger and the door stays put in any position. Much better than the stock ramp door spring that only had one spring and was way too small for a trailer that size.
