Question:
What is the minimum length E track I need to use the tire tie down set up with a 15inch wheel?

Hi Dave; that somewhat depends on the actual tire size but I would say a 4' section # e85VR is the minimum with a 5' # e25VR giving you a little more versatility with the # e64PR mounting position if you have the room for it. Both of these can be installed using the etrailer E-Track Backing Plates w/ Hardware # e46RR.
What are you hauling?

I would agree with Robin. 5’ would be a bit more forgiving on your vehicle positioning. I ran mine the full length of my 36’ trailer to accommodate different lengths of vehicles that I am hauling. The straps work awesome, only way to go in my opinion.
