How To Bypass Lippert ABS Brakes on 2025 Keystone Alpine 3700FL

Updated 04/08/2026 | Published 04/03/2026

Question:

I have a 2025 Keystone Alpine 3700fl with the lippert abs. I purchased the DeeMaxx disc brakes DE53AR, and lipperts wiring diagram shows all trailer lights go through the abs control module. If I just unplug the sensor harness, will that still give me all my trailer lights? Ive seen a video with wandering bear rv, and he did a bypass of the abs control module. Not sure what he did to do that, but he says thats what needs to be done for maintaining all lights. Need clarification on the best way to get my install done. Thanks.

Hey Brian! The Lippert ABS power harness does have the lights running through it. According to Lippert, if you disconnect the sensors and wire them up to the frame so they aren't dragging, the light functions will continue to pass through the module and everything will work as intended.

The other option is to rewire and bypass the control module completely so you can remove the sensors and extra wire. I'm sure that is what you saw in that video. If you have the CAN bus model be careful what you disconnect since it will be different than the standard ABS wiring, and Lippert won't provide instructions for a bypass since they consider it "modification."
