Replacement Hub For Load Rite Double Jet Ski Trailer with 12" Wheels
Updated 04/01/2026 | Published 03/29/2026 >
Question:
I have a load Rite double jet ski trailer wv2300T with knott axle and bearings L68149 and L44649 with seal 1.719 / 2.561. The trailer tires are 5 x4.5 ST145R12. I am assuming this is the correct hub kit but it says for 13”-15” tires. Is this the correct one or Will there be any issues with the 12” tires it has?

Hi Joe, great question and I’m really glad you double checked that before ordering because that “13 to 15 inch wheel” note throws a lot of people off.
Based on everything you provided, your setup matches what that hub # CE13515 is designed for. You’ve got L68149 inner and L44649 outer bearings, the 1.719 by 2.561 seal, and a 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern, which is exactly what that hub uses, so from a bearing and fit standpoint you’re right on target for your Knott axle.
That note about 13 to 15 inch wheels is more of a typical application guideline, not a hard limitation. It just reflects what size wheels are commonly paired with that style hub, not what will or will not work. The hub itself doesn’t depend on tire size, it depends on the spindle and bearing setup, which you’ve already confirmed. Since you’re already running that bearing combination with 12 inch wheels, this is essentially a like for like replacement.
If you want to be extra cautious, you can compare the diameter of your current hub to the new one, but in most cases like yours, this is a direct fit and works without any problems.
Do you mostly launch in saltwater or freshwater with this trailer?
