Question:
Will these work with sumo springs 217-40? I have a 2 inch lift on my truck 2019 silverado 1500 and have a 3 inch gap with my sumo springs and the axle

Hi John, that’s a really good question and I’m glad you checked before trying to mix components.
I would not recommend using Timbren spacers part # T28AV with your SumoSprings 217-40 part # SS65FR setup since they’re not designed to work together and may not give you a secure or predictable fit. The SumoSprings kit you’re using should have come with a 4" spacer, but with your 2 inch lift it sounds like you’re still sitting farther away from the axle than ideal. Typically, you want that gap to be between 1/2" to 1" so the springs can engage properly under load.
The good news is SumoSprings can provide additional spacers specifically designed for their system to help close that gap and get everything working the way it should. I’ve already sent over their contact information so you can reach out and get the correct spacer solution for your setup.
Are you mainly using the truck for towing or hauling, or a bit of both?
