Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Kenda Karrier KR35 tire and wheel combo with a five on four and a half inch lug pattern. Now this is a ST 205/75R14 radial trailer mounted tire, again on a nice 14 inch black modular steel wheel with red accents. Let's be honest, a lot of factory wheels and tires are just plain and boring. The black wheel here with the red stripes, I think gives it a much, a much cleaner kind of custom look. And you don't have to worry about aftermarket modifications or expensive modifications.
And if you want, you can purchase separately a center cap. The pilot hole's a 3.19 inch size, so you could purchase those center cap separately if you don't already own some and give it a nice kind of facelift as well. Now, radial tires, if you don't know, have great highway stability. They do great with heat management, especially during long trips. The tread life here is gonna be extended because it's a radial tire.
And this tread design does a great job, it's been engineered to help push water out and away, giving you full traction and contact on the main center patch here when it's in use and when it's properly inflated. And that's especially important, whether it's your camper, boat trailer, enclosed trailer, utility trailers, all these kind of things that you need daily, you want a good tire that's gonna be strong and have confidence in it. Now this is a load range D. That means it's eight ply rated and this whole combination wheel and tire combo is rated up to 2200 pounds at 75 psi. Now when it's fully inflated, I got 26.3 inches across and 7.9, not quite eight inches across on the width.
Now again, folks, if you're looking for a reliable trailer tire and wheel combo that's gonna improve your towing confidence while also upgrading that plain look of some of the older styles out there, this kind of setup's a solid option in my opinion, whether it's your trailer, camper, and those kind of things.
