Hi Jimmy, happy to help you stay cool!

I’d recommend taking a look at the Furrion Chill Cube setup, part # FR49TD. This comes as a complete system with the air distribution box and a new thermostat, so you’d be replacing your current controls rather than reusing them. The new thermostat can be wired to your existing propane furnace, which means you’ll still have full furnace functionality, just controlled through the new system instead of the old Duo-Therm thermostat.

This unit does not come with a heat pump but a heat pump is really just an added feature for mild weather heating. It doesn’t affect whether your furnace works or not, so since you already have a furnace for colder temperatures, you’re not relying on a heat pump to maintain heat. The furnace will still be your primary heat source when it counts.

A lot of people like the Chill Cube because it runs quieter and more efficiently than older units, and it does a nice job keeping temperatures consistent instead of constantly cycling on and off. The main thing we’d want to confirm is that your setup is ducted or ductless.

The easiest way to tell is just by looking at how the air comes out inside your RV.

If it’s a ducted system, you’ll have multiple vents spread throughout the ceiling and the air flows out of those vents across the coach. The AC unit itself won’t be blasting air straight down, it’s feeding into those ducts.

If it’s ductless, you’ll see one main ceiling unit with a large vent or grille, and all the air comes straight down from that one spot into the room.

How do you usually use your Conquest, more long trips, boondocking, or staying plugged in at campgrounds?
