Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at this GE Appliances 13,500 BTU White High Efficiency, Low Profile Ductless RV Air Conditioner with Heat Pump system. Now, this low-profile RV air conditioner is designed to give you an additional three inches of clearance in your roof height. And this 13,500 BTU unit is going to do a great job at cooling down your medium to large-size travel trailers, Class C motorhomes, and your standard fifth wheels, giving you a refreshing escape in spaces upwards of 200 to 300 square feet, and it's going to handle those harsh road conditions, and this is coming all from a brand that you know and trust. This does use the more energy-efficient R32 refrigerant, which does meet the 2025 EPA regulations, so because of that, this unit is not going to be backwards compatible with any AC systems from 2024 and earlier. This will be a bolt-on installation that does include the hardware to get this installed into place.
And giving you some measurements here, looking at the overall length, from end to end, right at 40 inches. The overall width, 30 inches. And as I mentioned, this is a low-profile unit, so the height's gonna be right about 11 inches. And this weighs about 85 pounds or so. And so, this has high-efficiency cooling performance, it's going to maintain that consistent air flow and it's going to give you temperature control, all with reduced energy consumption.
This is gonna run pretty quietly as well, the motor has sound dampening grommets to help reduce that annoying humming. And it's gonna be a pretty easy swap for most RVs, this is going to seamlessly install over your roof's preexisting roof vent opening. This is also built tough for the road, the high grade materials are going to do a great job of withstanding extreme UV rays and that constant vibration. And this white, (bangs on shroud) hard, automotive-grade polymer shroud is going to protect the internal components from water and debris. And it's gonna be able to be easily removed and replaced, so if you need to do some maintenance or cleaning, you'll just pop out the screws here, do whatever maintenance you need to do on the inside, replace the shroud and replace the screws.
But the shroud itself is very hard and rigid, so I think it's gonna do a great job of protecting your AC unit. Now, the built-in heat pump is going to keep your coach warm on those chilly mornings, it's going to efficiently and effectively use the heat that's in the air to warm your coach, the inside of your coach on those cold days, as low as 25 degrees Fahrenheit. At 35 degrees Fahrenheit, this is going to extend your propane supply by 19% to 38% by reducing the need for you to run your furnace. And then when the conditions get too cold for your heat pump to run efficiently, this is going to automatically switch over to your furnace. This also features an auto-defrost cycle to help prevent ice buildup on the heat exchanger.
And I'd like to give you a closer view here on this side of the table, just to go over the components that's included with this kit. So you are going to get this air distribution box that's designed for your ductless system, it's built to handle road vibrations and everyday RV life. And then you're gonna get this single-zone thermostat, and as you can see, it does include these easy-to-use buttons, and it's going to have a large backlit display. It's gonna be very easy to install, and it does come with the screws that you need to get this installed into place. And then you're going to get this fireproof control board, this is basically the brains of the operation, it manages how the AC unit operates. So giving you some measurements here, looking at our air distribution box, when I measure the width and the length, that comes up to 21 inches. And then this is probably gonna be sticking down from your ceiling about two and a half inches or so. The thermostat, the height and the width is gonna be right at three and a half inches, that's about an inch thick. And then the control box, looking at the length, seven and a half inches, and then the width, six and seven eighths inches, and about two and three eighths inches thick. So again, you're gonna get everything that you see here along with instructions. And again, this is all coming from a name that you know and trust, GE, of course you know them from your appliances inside your home, so that trust and that reliability that you have from your appliances in your house is going to be present here with this AC unit system as well. If you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this or anything else that we carry, don't hesitate to reach out, we do wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
