Will the RM 035 1 adaptors work on the etrailer XHD tow bar

Hey Eric! The etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e94ZR won't fit the # RM-035-1 as is. However, it can be modified so the two work together. Our tow bar shares the same design as the Demco, which requires extra bushings (picked up locally) to work with these D-ring adapters.

Just like Demco, we don't officially recommend this setup but there are people out there running it for flat towing. The best option would be to stick with a Roadmaster tow bar like the Falcon 3HD # RM27NQ which is directly compatible with the adapters.

I used these with a Roadmaster tow boat on a 2005 Jeep with an aftermarket front bumper. The bushings needed to be pressed in the eyes that held the shackles. I needed to press them Out if I wanted to put the shackles back on. This ended up being a non issue because I use soft shackles when I really need to use the winch.

I updated an old Roadmaster Black Hawk tow bar that I used many years ago. They went on easily , only taking a few minutes. I use these to hook up directly to an after market Smitty Bilt bumper (one of the few bumpers mfg approved/rated for such) for towing my Jeep JLUR. It works perfectly!
